Features
Rugged, durable design
![]() |
The AstralPool XC cartridge filter is made with 20% glass filled polypropylene in a one-piece injection-moulded body and lid. The lock ring is made from 30% glass filled nylon. This makes the AstralPool XC significantly stronger and less prone to splitting than other cartridge filters that are made from ABS plastic and glued together. |
Ease of use
|
The lid locking mechanism has been designed to be removed in one-piece without the need for tools with large handles and less threading. Spring-loaded locking tab that makes an audible-click when the locking ring is sufficiently tightened and prevents over-tightening. The air bleed valve is over-sized for durability and to allow for easy maintenance. There is a large-drain port should water need to be drained from the tank. |
Cyclonic filtration
![]() |
The AstralPool XC cartridge filter features internal water diverters that allow cyclonic water flow, allowing for more efficient water flow across the filter element and in turn, better filtration and a reduction in clogging. |
Thoroughly tested
| The AstralPool XC cartridge filter was engineered and tested up to 400kPa (1.5x operating pressure) for up to 100,000 cycles. |
Easier to install
![]() |
The choice of two inlets allows the AstralPool XC cartridge filter to be installed in tight spaces. |
Reduced environmental impact
|
Climate Care Certified by SPASA Australia. It takes just 100 litres* of water annually to clean a XC filter element, instead of backwashing thousands of litres to clean a traditional sand media filter, making it easier than ever to be more responsible with water. *Based on an average time of 1.5 minutes to clean the cartridge with a standard household yard hose. |
